I was re-reading early entries of my LJ and came upon this:

" I am depressed. I feel sterile in every possible way possible: physically, mentally, emotionally, artistically, academically, socially, and spiritually. This is like my second post. I hope no one ends up thinking I'm going to be one of those LJ emos. I'm not going to use this journal to rant about my depression and lack of existential joie-de-vivre: usually because I don't normally have moods like this. I get angry, frustrated, happy, hysterical, nostalgic, but depression is largely something I keep to myself. Or tell my parents and friends. At any rate, it's not something I normally announce to the world at large via Internet."

Who the hell did I think I was kidding? This is from almost two years ago, and I haven't changed my tune one bit. My doctor, who suggested I get assessed for ADD, is now saying the same thing about depression. I'm really getting suspicious about the way my labels are accumulating.

Yeah, maybe I'm depressed. But I don't think it's clinical, and I certainly don't think happy pills are gonna solve my problems, so take your diagnosis, shove it where the sun don't shine,and let me get on with my life.
