Being the absolutely adorably loving and enthusiastic (and perverted) sweetheart that Termy is, he leaps at the chance to gallantly protect his true love. Lute being the very independant, capable, paranoid, and pessimistic cold little bastard that he is, doesn't like the idea of Termy defending his honor. Because I am the author, and therefore, *almost* all-powerful, Termy is unable to defend Lute like he would like to. This is one of the few times Lute ever gets his way.
